| Acquisition Expands Company’s Capacity in South Texas |
| January 24, 2007 Hanson Pipe & Precast today announced the acquisition of W T Liston Co., a long-standing La Feria, Texas-based manufacturer of concrete pipe and precast concrete products. Acquisition of the facility, less than 10 miles from Harlingen, Texas, expands Hanson Pipe & Precast’s capacity in fast-growing Rio Grande Valley markets such as Brownsville, Harlingen and McAllen. “This facility expands our presence in the Valley and provides a central location to reach customers in the area’s growing communities and reinforces Hanson’s commitment to growing its current and prospective pipe and precast business,” said Clifford Hahne, Hanson’s South Central region president. “We are pleased to become part of the La Feria community.” W T Liston Co. was founded in 1919 by the great grandfather of the former owner, Pat Liston, who will become an integral part of the Hanson family. Hanson Pipe & Precast will offer an expanded line of precast concrete products in the near future. Hahne said that the facility will be part of Hanson’s South Central operating region based in Grand Prairie, Texas and Jose Pena will be the facility’s manager. The South Central region services Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas. The region’s 26 facilities produce products used for community and roadway development such as reinforced concrete pipe, drainage structures, modular bridges and pressure pipe.
