| Acquisition Expands Company’s Capacity in South Texas |
| July 3, 2007 Hanson Pipe & Precast today announced the acquisition of Austin-based Tullos, Inc., which operates under the business name Texas Concrete Products (TCP). The facility produces thin wall knock out boxes, storm inlets and other precast storm water products. Located on five acres approximately 15 miles south of downtown Austin, TCP has been manufacturing products for Hanson for more than 15 years and will now be joining the company in name and management. “We are pleased to add this facility to others in Texas such as our pipe and box facilities in Austin and San Antonio and our precast facilities in Seguin,” said Clifford Hahne, Hanson’s South Central region president. Hanson Building Products North America’s President and Chief Executive Officer The TCP facility will be part of Hanson’s South Central operating region based in Grand Prairie, Texas and Clay Scott will be the facility’s manager. The South Central region services Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas. The region’s 31 facilities produce products used for community and roadway development such as reinforced concrete pipe, drainage structures, modular bridges and pressure pipe. The South Central Region’s six pressure pipe facilities, in Texas and throughout the Midwest, service the entire nation.
