| February XX, 2008 Oliver S. Delery, Jr., P.E., Louisiana sales manager for Hanson Pipe & Precast, a leader in the concrete products industry, has been elected as 2008-2009 Chairman of the American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM) International Committee C13 on Concrete Pipe. ASTM International is one of the largest voluntary standards development organizations, developing technical standards that guide design and make materials, products, systems and services safer and cost effective. Committee C13 is dedicated to creating and reviewing test methods and guides for the design, installation, testing, economic evaluation and performance of concrete pipe systems. Delery, a professional engineer, is a graduate of Tulane University’s School of Engineering. In May of 2000, ASTM Committee C13 on Concrete Pipe honored Delery with its Col. Robert R. Litehiser Award in recognition for his service to that committee. Before his title as Chairman of ASTM Committee C13, he served as Vice-Chairman of the Committee and has been a member of ASTM since 1982. “We are honored to have Oliver represent the concrete industry as an integral member of ASTM International,” said Clifford Hahne, Hanson’s South Central region president. “At Hanson we strive to keep standards development an important part of our company and take pride in the opportunity for Oliver to serve ASTM International as a part of the Hanson family.” Richard Manning, Hanson Building Products North America’s President, added, “Hanson is more than a building materials company; we are a company that cares about maintaining safe and efficient standards for all technical materials around the world.” Hanson Pipe & Precast’s South Central region services Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas.
